Two years removed now from back-to-back NCAA National Championships, the Florida Gators men’s basketball team has now accomplished what I never thought would be possible under Billy Donovan….

What is really hard to swallow is that florida sate (I refuse to capitalize their name in any instance…for future reference) is 5 seed. Of course, I get an earful from all of these fsu fan friends of mine (“Look whose in and whose out NOW!”), which is hilarious because this is the first time they’ve even made the tournament in 11 years. Get back to me when you win a National Championship, or two in a row even.
So I’m relegated to watching the NIT…Or listening to it, considering the first round had no television coverage. After whooping up on Jacksonville (yay….) we get Miami in the O’Dome Friday night for round two. I wonder how cheap tickets are for that…?
Oh well, at least I have a good team to put my mojo behind this year, my step-team if you will, the mighty Michigan State Spartans! By way of my relationship with Kara, I’ve now adopted them as my #2 team. And besides, it’s someone else I get to root on against Ohio State!
But as a Gator, it’s another March without any teeth…
